Date:  Wednesday, May 8, 2024

Time:  5:30 pm Registration

6:00-6:45 Lecture/Presentation

Event Overview:  As the patient pool in each dental practice continues to age, clinicians must thoughtfully consider and approach the evolving restorative needs and oral health demands of each individual. This presentation will cover several real-world case studies which demonstrate a customized approach to treatment planning endosseous implants, improving the esthetics of darker teeth, aiding the retention and stability of removable prosthetics, and improving the overall hygiene and well-being of periodontally compromised dentition within an aging demographic.

Course Objectives:

  • Recognize appropriate patient-based case selection criteria to ensure long-term success for direct, indirect, implant, and removable treatment planning solutions.
  • Improve all phases of care from pre-operative diagnosis, lab communication, delivery, and follow-up treatment for an aging patient base.
  • Develop a case-specific armamentarium based on treatment needs and goals of each case.
  • Apply course concepts and techniques to current patient population.

Speaker Bio:   Miles R. Cone is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and completed a three-year Prosthodontic residency program while serving in the United States Army. In addition to achieving board certification and diplomate status within his specialty, Dr. Cone has also successfully challenged all the requirements necessary to earn his designation as a Certified Dental Technician. Currently, Dr. Cone’s career in civilian life revolves around his dual role as the owner of Nuance Dental Specialists, a private practice dental clinic limited to prosthetic dentistry in the heart of Portland, Maine and his role as a Key Opinion Leader. When Dr. Cone is not at the chair, in the classroom teaching, or at the lab bench, he can be found traveling the world looking for adventure, or relaxing at home with his wife, four children, and English Bulldog.
